December 18, 2021 – Full Moon at Gemini 27°29’, 11:36 pm EST;
Venus Stationary conjunct to Pluto; Chiron Stationary.
The Gemini Full Moon is intensified by two planetary stations: Venus turning retrograde in Capricorn in a conjunction to Pluto, and Chiron turning direct in Aries.
Venus in conjunction to Pluto is a powerful archetype. This is Isis and Osiris; Persephone and Pluto. These myths – Egyptian and Greek/Roman respectively – are full of kidnapping, mayhem, and murder. The players are hijacked by powerful forces into the underworld where they experience betrayal, fear, death, and – eventually – transformation into a new form.
Capricorn is all about structure. Venus stationary conjunct to Pluto describes a death/rebirth process surrounding individual and collective structures. It is worth noting that the degrees of this station (Capricorn 25/26) were powerfully impacted last year by the Great Shift Alignment. This is an echo of collective energies from 2020; we see its reflection in the current surge of concern around Covid.
Chiron is The Wounded Healer. Both Chiron and Anubis – Chiron’s Egyptian counterpart – were abandoned at birth by their mothers. Chiron represents our core wound and stations of Chiron reveal where healing is most needed. Chiron is currently in Aries, suggesting that the archetype of The Warrior is most in need of personal and collective realignment.
Thrown into the mix is the ongoing Saturn/Uranus square, in effect now and exact on December 24. We are in the midst of a collective death/birth process. Only when we completely surrender to the death of the old will we be able to birth something new.
Venus turns retrograde and Chiron direct on December 19.
