October 31, 2020: Full Moon at Taurus 8°38’, 10:49 am, EDT.
This Halloween Full Moon is a wild one! The Great Shift planets (Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn) remain in alignment and will be in a challenging relationship to Mercury, Mars, (both retrograde) and Eris, goddess of strife and discord. Venus is opposite to Chiron, the Wounded Healer. And most striking of all, Uranus will be in an on-the-degree alignment with the Moon and in opposition to the Sun.
In traditional astrology, the Moon represents our unconscious. Uranus is the shattering aspect of change. Moon/Uranus alignments describe an eruption of energy from the deep subconscious. In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Uranus is Wadjet, the Kundalini Cobra Goddess. Taurus, the sign of this Full Moon, is aligned with Hathor, the Egyptian version of the Earth Goddess.
Wadjet is like a lightning strike. Hathor is erotic, exotic, and luxuriates in the sensations of being in a body. Khonsu, aligned with the Moon, is the great healer god of ancient Egypt. The interrelationship of these three during this Full Moon window suggests that primal instincts will be awakened. Full Moons are always intense, initiating a crescendo of emotional energy. This Full Moon has the potential to be not just intense, but explosive. While this energy can certainly be tempestuous, this is also an opportunity for deep healing. During this three-day period, release your inner wild one through drumming, dancing, or howling at the Moon. It is good to be alive!
The Full Moon Window lasts from October 30 through November 1.
