Full Moon at Leo 9°05’, January 28, 2021 at 2:16 pm EST.
What is most important to you – your responsibility to the collective or your own experience? This question is at the core of many disagreements in our society. Should we wear masks and get the vaccine? Should we socialize freely? Is the purpose of our society to protect individual expression or is it a mechanism to enforce collective safety?
This is the Leo/Aquarius polarity. Leo is the ultimate sign of the individual; Aquarius is the integrated collective. When the Leo/Aquarius polarity is highlighted, issues around the relationship between the individual and the collective come to the fore.
In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Leo is aligned with Anubis at the point in his growth where he must release his attachments to his childhood wounds. This process is necessary for the young Anubis to grow into the being he is meant to be – the Shower of the Way. Aquarius is aligned with Ptah, creator of Heaven and Earth. Ptah creates with the words that he speaks and his tongue is connected to his heart. If our creations come from our wounds, they will not grow corn.
During this Full Moon, Jupiter – Horus, the Young King – is exactly aligned with the Sun and opposite the Moon. Mars – Set, the Warrior King – is in a tight T-Square with the Sun/Moon opposition. Mars remains in a conjunction to Uranus and Saturn is square to both. Our disagreements are many and the division between us is wide.
The challenge of the Aquarian Age will be to expand beyond polarization and thereby create a new shared reality. We are all players in this process and we share responsibility for the outcome. During this Leo Full Moon connect with your inner Anubis and reflect on how your childhood experiences may be influencing your thoughts and actions.
