April 12: Full Moon at Libra 23°20’, 8:22 pm EDT
& Venus direct at Pisces 24°37’, 9:02 pm EDT.
The last six weeks have been suffused with Aries energy, including Neptune beginning its transition to Aries after 14 years in watery Pisces.
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac. Rebirth, new beginnings, and enthusiasm for new experiences. There is currently an emphasis on the relationship between Aries and Pisces, the preceding sign. Pisces dissolves away the established order. When we enter Aries, new life erupts out of the primordial sea.
The dissolution of the status quo takes time. We are now witnessing the emergence of something new. This “something new” is not yet fully revealed. We must live with uncertainty as to what this new thing will be, and we also must take responsibility for our part in its creation.
The sign of this Full Moon - Libra – is ruled by Venus. Libra desires relationship as much as Aries desires freedom. Together these two create a tug-of-war of opposing desires. Is it possible to be in relationship and still be free? The answer is yet to be revealed, and its exploration is central to the new reality we are collectively creating.
In the Egyptian pantheon, Libra is allied with Ma’at, the goddess of truth, balance and justice. Her symbol is a scale. Ma’at asks us not to focus on one end of the scale over the other but rather see all of it. If we are able to focus on the full spectrum of polarity, what do we see, and what can we create?
