Sun and Pluto enter Aquarius

Aquarius is the sign of the collective. This is a visionary sign and those with Aquarius strong in their chart have their eyes on the horizon, looking for what is coming. These individuals can be found in the fields of technology and science, often working with others toward a common goal. They are keen observers, but they sometimes miss the emotional expression of others and may be clueless as to their own feeling nature.

In Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Aquarius is allied with Ptah, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Ptah is a Star Being who created the world through the words that he spoke. He is sometimes shown with his tongue connected to his heart, signifying the idea that all our creations must be inspired by compassion. Thoughts create words; words lead to actions. It is important that our actions do no harm.

This year, the transition of the Sun into Aquarius is particularly impactful. On the same day, Pluto – Osiris, Lord of Regeneration – also moves into Aquarius. This is part two of the three-part transition of Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius. Pluto will remain in Aquarius for the rest of 2024, except for a brief revisit to Capricorn from September 1 – November 19. After that, Pluto will remain in Aquarius for the next 20 years. Technology, which has become progressively dominant in our world, will completely take over, affecting every aspect of our existence. With this transformation comes a huge unknown. The creations of technology can either support life on Earth or bring a cascade of destruction. Which direction we take depends upon how connected our creations are to our hearts.
